Spacca Napoli in Hapjeong. First thing I noticed walking in was the giant pile of wood in the corner. Oh yeah, wood fired oven. Nice start. Id been told it was good, and it was. Maybe the best Italian style pizza Ive had in Seoul. We got the diavola, and the crust was great. Thin, crispy on the bottom, soft and spongy inside. The sauce was very simple, just fresh tomatoes and some basil leaves. Two kinds of mozzarella on top, and really good pepperoni and salami. I wish there were a bit more of both, but overall it was very good. Just a simple pizza with high quality ingredients. We also had their crema pasta, which was pretty much the standard heavy cream carbonara. It was good as well, nice and garlicky, with bacon, mushrooms and broccoli. The pizza is definitely what to go for, though. Spacca Napoli is really busy, and we were lucky to snag the last table at 5pm on a Sunday. Its a fairly small place, and lots of loud conversations. Almost like being in Italy, but with more ajummas. Enjoyed it a lot, and definitely going again!
