Speaking as a Kiwi, I can agree with Lewis. Dont come to NZ, folks. Its rubbish. Theres only so much Middle Earth scenery you can take before you notice that it rains most of the time, our service industry is beyond appalling, everything costs far too much, our infrastructure dates from the mid-1970s even if its brand new, our internet is slower than separately posting each bit to your friends back home second class mail in envelopes, our supermarkets only stock about 15 items in total, and the people are unhelpful, unfailingly rude, and stare at you as if youve just come from Mars even if youve lived in the town in question your whole life. On the upside, we have free healthcare, so if you badly injure yourself in our many hazardous tourist traps or on our medieval roading system...which is all but certain, given that there is no such thing as oversight over any facet of our society....you will at least be stitched up without a hefty bill. WARNING - waiting times in our hospitals vary from one to two weeks for anything less severe than loss of a limb. Theres little chance of being stabbed or raped while on holiday here, but if you ARE stabbed you will be also be raped and vice versa.
