Speaking of our parish, were all disappointed because we were recently gifted a deacon from Ukraine of the Ruthenian rite. No sooner did he join us than, within several weeks, he was called back to Arizona to be ordained priest within, I believe, a month. He struck it off with everyone immediately and everyone loved him, so my secret hope is that hell be ordained and sent back to Holy Angels here in San Diego. He was clearly sorry to be leaving. Well see if my hunch is right or not about his return. I promised him an Anza Borrego trip and never had the opportunity. If any of you are ever in San Diego, you need to fulfill your obligation at our parish. It is quite a unique place in the world.
