Speaking to my International Friends: I would like to ask your help to my volunteer effort in raising funds to help the Refugee Camp “Romashka” located in Kharkov. This is a summer camp owned by private entrepreneurs that they decided to give for refugees when the war in Ukraine started, you can see more about them on their page: https://facebook/romashkakhUA There are 300 people there now, 150 women and 110 children. There is no help for them from Ukrainian officials. The camp is the summer camp that is not set for being used in winter, it doesn’t have heating system, so people are cold there and winter is coming. So they need heating system built before winter. The situation is, that armed groups came to their land and started the war. Many peaceful people, who just lived in those regions of lost everything, they whether had their houses bombed or it is impossible to live in the towns they used to live anymore (no water, no power, no food, no banks working etc.). I think this is very UNFAIR to these people. My friends and I help to this camp, but it is not enough of this help. So I ask your help for these people for building heating system, food, warm blankets etc. I will photograph everything that was done for the money collected and will provide photo copy of the receipts (provide photo report). The time for discussions, watching TV and thinking it doesn’t touch you is over. War can touch anyone, injustice can touch anyone. So this is non-political effort and is about helping people. I think what we need now is uniting and constructive efforts and real actions, that will allow us to fight evil and destructive trends in the World. I also think, that today’s World demands more from us then just buying cars and houses for ourselves and taking care of our families (even criminals do that and actually often too successfully).
