Speaking to my taxi driver- a refugee from Somalia. He came here 20 years ago and now calls himself an Aussie. His children are born and raised here. He is telling me of the nights in the refugee camp that people would murder his friends and family for food rations. He is a very proud and happy Aussie/man. Both our liberal AND labor governments should be ashamed for trying to stop the boats (and dont dare put it all on liberal). This man has more respect for life than many Aussies I know.
