Special Notice: It is with great sadness, that we announce, under recommendations from our Leadership Team, The Mental Health Project for Youth has surrendered its charter and has begun the process of dissolution. This resolution was passed by the Members on October 1, 2013. "Through much consultation and guidance, we, as a Leadership Team believed this to be the best decision for the organization and our volunteers. There are some decisions in our lives that are very difficult to make. I am deeply saddened but also looking forward to new mental health advocacy endeavours," stated Founder and current Executive Director, Dustin Garron. "I thank everyone for their support over the past two and a half years. Many people have contributed to the growth of this organization and I am very appreciative." The Mental Health Project for Youth has suspended all programs and services and will officially close on October 31, 2013. The organization will be dissolved in the coming months. As part of dissolution, another charity will receive all assets (including monies). That Ontario youth mental health charity has been chosen but will not be released publicly at this time. We do not see this as a failure. Once a mental health advocate, always a mental health advocate. Many staff and volunteers are assuming roles with new mental health organizations.
