Speed, agility, and quickness training is an important essential to enhance practical field abilities of athletes in a variety of sports. In addition to a well-designed resistance training program, speed, agility, and quickness training promotes transfer of strength and power while improving proper running mechanics, dynamic balance, quickness, explosiveness, first step acceleration, and general athleticism. A successful speed-training program can highlight an athletes ability to shift, when needed, into a higher gear that could make a difference between winning and losing. Prospective athletes of Crossfit Mayviews speed, agility, and quickness classes will have a new focus on a weekly schedule. Whether it is linear movements to address running strength and power, stride length, stride frequency, deceleration and top end speed or agility training to address change of direction, footwork, reaction skills or transitional movement. Athletes will be taken through these focuses in a group setting while giving feedback on a personalized basis. Classes will be THURSDAY nights from 8p to 9p. Classes are offered to teens ages 13-18. First class is FREE. Come improve your speed skills with Coach John on Thursday nights!
