Speedy recovery to a Jacksonville, Florida Firefighter who was shot this morning in a drive by shooting. It appeared the firefighters were the intended target! I would like to thank all of our brothers and sisters in our fire departments across the nation who have responded with us and took care of police officers during the past few months! This will not be tolerated and we have your back! Mayor Alvin Brown condemned Tuesdays shooting, vowing to do everything in his power to protect police and firefighters. I am outraged by cowardly attacks on our brave first responders, Brown said. These attacks will not be tolerated. As mayor, I will do everything in my power to protect the firefighters and police officers who work so hard to keep us safe. They deserve no less.
