Spent a wonderful evening with my husband Frank at the annual dinner meeting of the DAR(Daughters of the American Revolution). This year we honored all veterans in particular the veterans of Viet Nam. This is the 50th year anniversary of this war. Homecomings were not necessarily filled with gratitude back then and our DAR chapter just wanted say thank you to these veterans for their service and their families for their sacrifices. About twenty verterans and their spouses were there. Never forget to let a veteran of any war know that you appreciate what he or she has done for their country. If you live in the Magnolia area be sure to visit the traveling Vietnam War Memorial wall this weekend 9am-5pm Sat. thru Mon. Opening ceremonies are this evening at 6pm. It will put a lump in your throat and pride in your heart.
