Spent the day with 10-11 year olds yesterday. Part of the day was in the classroom at Donnelly Elementary. Two large tanks of parr sized Rainbow Trout, show how successful the class project has been in the study of Boulder Creek. The class gets to release the trout today. At 11, we all boarded a bus for the middle school in McCall for a track and field event. I was a volunteer timer. Of two 5th grade classes in the district, the smallest boy in the cohort (Oswaldo) was the fastest. One intense kid, but then that is a good description of the age group.
