Spent the last two days scanning old b&w negatives of photos I havent seen in years. These really surprised me since I dont remember ever seeing them. They are from a concert on Randalls Island on July 18, 1970 with my first band in New York City. We were called Goldflower, and we were invited by Elephants Memory to join them at this one day festival featuring Jimi Hendrix, Steppenwolf, Van Morrison, and a bunch of others. All I remember is going on stage with a line of Hells Angels (friends of Elephants Memory) standing guard as we launched into my song about street harassment Im Tired of Bastards Fcking Over Me. Goldflower was a trio, with Laura Liben, Lorraine Shapiro, and me.
