Spent the weekend constructing a medium security chicken prison. As far as prisons go its pretty nice but, unfortunately, a prison it is. They spent the day pacing the perimeter clinking their little tin cups on the bars and looking longingly at the fallen apples under the tree. This afternoon they got their first visitors as the neighbor (the one who likes the chickens) brought over her grandkids who enjoy playing with the chickens and were disappointed to hear of their fate.They got to hold them and pet them and took away a couple eggs as souvenirs. The chickens were happy to have a distraction.
