Spent the whole morning choosing textbooks for my Spring course - Romans-Revelation (NTII) Donald Hagner - New Testament Introduction (I actually disagree with Hagner on more than one or two, but he is such a great teacher and scholar) Four Views on the Role of Works at Final Judgment Michael Barber, James Dunn) (love the engagement esp alongst Schreiner, Barber, and Dunn) Reading Revelation Responsibly Michael Gorman)(I have been waiting to introduce this book to my students; cant wait to generate discussion) The Story of Romans (Grieb) (this is a highly praised volume, short, theologically rich, indicative of newer ways of reading Romans) And I will manage to throw in an essay or two from N.T. Wright on Paul, Mariam Kamell Kovalishyn on James, and maybe subject my students to a thing or two I have written. Maybe next year I can put the Biblia Hipsteria (https://youtube/watch?v=6K9N3vYM4vc) into the hands of students (Michael Bird) - if they are hipster enough.
