Spiritual Insights December 2014 As I write my spiritual Insights I am on the flight coming home from Istanbul, Turkey where I was the speaker at an International Festival for healing. They graciously had me open the festival with the beginning lecture with my 2015 predictions for the world and Turkey. This was a great honor. And the reception was marvelous. The magazines and newspapers were all there taking notes and pictures. Most people who have not visited Turkey have no idea what this magnificent and beautiful country is about. Many of my American friends think Turkey as a Muslim country is a very dangerous place and that I am unsafe when I am there. This is a huge misconception. And just as many have the wrong perceptions of Turkey as the Turks have misconceptions of the U.S. The media on both ends have a part in this. Istanbul is the most interesting and wonderful city I have been in and I am so fortune to be a speaker and teacher there. This intriguing place has the old world charm and ancient history along with the modern world of progressive Europe. The diversity is unbelievable. The Turks are the warmest and friendliest people you will ever meet in the world. You wonder if they are for real or if it is an act, yet these people come completely from the heart. The reverence that they have for mysticism and spirituality is so completely different from the U.S. They all believe in mysticism and all the metaphysical arts such as astrology. When reading charts in Turkey my clientele are the whos who in their community. I read for soap opera stars, journalists, writers, powerful international businessmen, doctors, and lawyers. They all take my words with the utmost sincerity. They all know the power of astrology and it is a very reputable profession. I am viewed as a wise woman who can truly give the guidance they need to make major decisions in their life. There is no country in the world that I have received such complete respect for my work. Understanding their culture through reading their charts and experiencing their lives I have come to realize they have very deep spiritual roots. They are kind and compassionate and every person asks me about their spiritual life for this is a major part of their world. They all have a true connection to the Divine spirit. Of course they want to know about their love life, career and money but every one of them always inquires about their spiritual life. Many tell me of their visions and psychic experiences. They are so connected and this is a part of their life. Turkey is a very self-contained country. Their products are all Turkish. There are very few imports. This is what makes their society work and everyone has a certain profession that works together to support each other. There is little unemployment. They are working in textiles, fashion, and building. They have beautiful marble work, architects, and interestingly they have incredible artists such as painters, jewelry designers, and musicians are all able to make a great living. The arts are valued greatly and this profession brings success. There is no such thing as a staving artist in Turkey. The mysticism of Turkey goes way back to before the Ottoman empire and the Turkish people have all told me that their people came from shamans who were deeply ingrained in the spiritual and mystical side of life. Many healers and shamans are drawn to this cultural center of spirituality for Istanbul is the mecca of deep spiritual truth. The bases of their spirituality can be understood with the study of Islam, Sufism and the prophet Rumi. The whirling Dervish tell the story of a great city rooted in the belief of the Divine and the laws of nature. Here are the beliefs that are the base of the Islamic culture that is a part of Istanbul. The origin and roots of Sufism lie in the life and practices of the Prophet of Islam and the Quran. Sufism espouses a well-founded and thoroughgoing interpretation of Islam, which focuses on love, tolerance, worship of God, community development, and personal development through self-discipline and responsibility. A Sufis way of life is to love and be of service to people, deserting the ego or false self and all illusion so that one can reach maturity and perfection, and finally reach Allah, the True, the Real. whirlingdervishes.org/whirlingdervishes.htm Yes, the Turks are Muslims but there is a very different view of their spirituality. While there may be a much more dogmatic view of their religion taken by the government leaders, the people I have had the honor to meet have very different views from their government leaders. This is why there are so many protests and demonstrations in Istanbul. They are very peaceful and the people have the right to protest. Looking at the horoscope of Turkey there will be major upheaval and possible war because the people of Turkey want to take back their power from their dogmatic but very charismatic leader. This will occur over the next year. Turkey is the place that will set the tone and example for the Middle East and the world. I see much destruction in Turkey as they must end and rebuild a new regime, yet following this transformation I see Turkey as a major center for spirituality and they will also grow as a world power by the year 2020. Turkey, and especially Istanbul, is a center of world transformation, for where there is the greatest darkness there is also the greatest light, and you will see how this amazing place has so much to teach the world. This is the center of world transformation. I will be returning to Turkey in January to teach an intensive course in Vedic astrology. I have many students there who take astrology as a huge opportunity to attain knowledge for a very respected profession and a means to make a great living in Turkey. I am invited to a beautiful coastal vacation spot to read charts for five days in Antalya then I return to Istanbul for a very intense five-day class on Vedic astrology. Meanwhile, I received a very interesting message right before leaving for Turkey. A respected movie director from Australia contacted me with a mission to create a movie on intuition. He went to India to begin filming the movie and was directed to a Vedic astrologer who, in a reading, told him that his fortunes and mission would come to fruition if he went to Dallas, Texas. He said the cosmic rays were the most powerful for him in Dallas. No I am not making this up! So he believes since this movie is on intuition he must be true to his vision and follow through on this specific guidance. So before coming to Dallas, Texas he goggles Vedic astrology, Dallas, Texas, and guess who comes up! I have since met with him and had him and his lovely wife and cameraman over for Thanksgiving dinner. They are amazing people and I wholeheartedly believe in his mission and film.
