Spirituality definition for me is a connection of myself within allowing me to live functional Living comPass that aids me to live a loving fulfilling giving life. A life that allows balance, growth clarity, forgiveness and love. What I give into the universe is what I get out. Religion to me is an organise institution people connect with a programmed spirituality. Religion is supposed to be a moral compass that allows people to live a life that is guided by a book that most have never read from start to finish and some dont understand the book or interpret it wrong and it ends up being used to control people and to make money. Human beings need faith and spirituality to feel value , direction and when lost brings a fulfilment of understanding and belonging. The bad thing about religion is it doesnt leave room to question and at certain points stunts the growth of thought and science. When I read about native spirituality whether it is Native American Australian aborigine indigenous Africa there is a pattern. They all teach people about self love teaches goodness and power within. The similarity to each other including spirituality and the way we connect to our ancestors to ask for growth help and understanding just like how you would when people pray to Their Gods. In most cases we are told their ideologies are primitive because they pray to their ancestors and use unconventional ways doing so. Our subconscious mind has power with organised religion it becomes suppressed you are not allowed to question why you feel a certain way the only solution is its in the hands of God and a book that tells you what is and a guidance on how to live your life. Subconscious connections within our selfs allow us to be who we are do the things we do. Our genetic makeup past down by our ancestors give us a genetic map that help us with our survival. Our DNA the blood that flows within us. This one reason why in so called primitive cultures we live by our totems in the Native American culture if a persons totem is eagle you are related, in my culture I cant marry anyone who is a Shire (eagle) because that person is related to me. When I was in Arizona I had a Native American counsellor in college and her totem was eagle just like I am and we called each other sisters this is how we are connected together in this life.We are all connected to this earth and the world around us physically emotionally and spiritually. Organised religion doesnt allow or bring togetherness in this way it allows us to continue to separate just like how Muslims and Jews are clearly brothers and sisters and their religious beliefs allow them to kill each other. Christians and Muslims in Nigeria? We are powerful beings within us our ancestors have given us the opportunity to grow, love, give , spiritually on the earth we live in goodness of life the opportunity to make changes to prepare for the next generation to come.
