Split - Croatia Well stairs were definitely my friend today - thousands of them - the view from the top of the hill (Suma Marjan) in Split was amazing and the swim when we got back to the bottom even better!!! Split is a busy tourist town and the start point for many island trips and boat cruises. Some areas are old and interesting, mazes of streets easy to get lost in. We met a really nice girl from Russia (Tatiana) at the top of the hill and talked all the way back; she was lovely. Nice local bottle of red for dinner and live is so sweet....god we are fortunate at the moment!! Today we head for the island of Vis......
