She’s set to wed Steve McDonald, finally tying the knot in the couple’s on-off relationship. Whiston born Kym, 38, says: “I’m absolutely delighted. It totally makes sense for us as characters to get married, and Simon and I love working together. Nobody likes seeing us break up, apart from Tracy Barlow!” It will be a seventh wedding for Corrie favourite Steve, while it will be the first time Michelle has married. Steve, played by Simon Gregson, has been seen struggling with depression and pushing away his partner Michelle, played by Kym Marsh, in recent months on the soap.
