Spoke with the staff at the veterinary ER just a few minutes ago. Suni was sleeping and (in their words) resting comfortably. Shes had no other seizures since I took her there and they do not have any reason to suspect that shes in any danger at this time. I spoke with her new primary care veterinarian just before I collapsed for the night and he tells me that after consulting with the veterinary ER vet, hes pretty well convinced now that she had a seizure in his office, and not the heart condition they had suspected. The reason he gave was because of his observations of her recovery from the incident. If it had been the heart condition, he says she would have gotten up after the faint and everything would have been normal. Since it wasnt (it appeared to be the normal post-ictus phase of a seizure), he doesnt believe that her heart was the problem tonight. Ive made arrangements for a friend to pick her up and my instructions were to have her taken back to her primary vet from the ER. Im to call him when I get off work for further instructions. My suspicion is that hell recommend she not be left alone for a couple of days and my friend has already said that if need be, she can keep her for a couple of days while Im at work. Ive made it clear that Sunis bills from the ER are to be charged to my CC when shes release, so there should be no problems there. Kasea continues to cry for his missing friend. He did sleep with me last night, although it was obvious that it wasnt his first choice. He just didnt want to go into his crate without Suni being there. It took a while for him to settle down after I put him up on the bed, but he did finally go to sleep. After I get to work and things settle down there, Ill try to get on again long enough to post exactly what happened. Thank you all for your support during this trying time. I know in my heart that Suni will pull through. ~Senior Wiener
