Sponsor a Teacher. Working closely with the villagers in Mukteshwar,Uttarakhand, OCS Foundation observed that often children are not going to school for long periods at a go.Our volunteers who are spending time with children, teaching them over weekends were informed that this absentia was on account non availability of (relevant replacement) teachers in any govt/private schools across. On thorough research we identified that there is a huge demand-supply gap. The student’s are keen on pursuing education however there is extreme paucity of teachers, one of the key reasons being – the lack of funds. To immediately bring about a change in this situation we have started sponsoring teachers to the schools who have the intent of making the difference. We all reminisce our school days and at some level identify with atleast one teacher who made the difference in our life… If this strikes a chord and you would like to help provide these children an opportunity of change through education you can also sponsor a teacher at a small donation of Rs. 12000/- year. You are most welcome to regularly interact with these teachers and check progress of the students.
