Spooky share: As a young child of about ten years old, I had taken a bucket of washed clothes to hang them out on the clothsline in the backyard of our new home in Benin city. I remember that I thought I could do it because I had grown tall enough to reach the line that Benjy had put up. So, there I am staring up at the line and wondering what had happened! Had I grown shorter, did someone raise the line?? Oh, Benjy!! Not to worry, I saw that right beneath the clothsline, was a log! Good! Up on the log, I perched as I hung the first and the second items of clothing...tremor begins...I wasnt sure what it was...then, the log began to move...I thought I died for a moment!! I jumped off the moving python and began a mad dash in the direction of the house, panting like I saw death!! Fortunately, the snake had zipped in the oppoite direction! I never forgot that incident.
