Sporadically across history in every aspect and every phase of life, great awakening occur. Between these awakening there are intervals of sleep or l u l l I n g away. The first empire wide great awakening was , believe it or not , brought about by a life long , birth to death pagan. Constantine I , the first Holy , or wholly , and that spelling is also valid and applicable , Roman Emperer , made Christianity fashionable across Rome. After defeating Maxentius at Milvian Bridge, the C h I R h o waved where the Roman Eagles once waved. Yet with this incident would come the corruption and power lust that was the former of Rome. This new integration did not eliminate the past. It is illogical to believe such a p h a l l I c y.
