We have approximately 50 delivery staff that work together as a team and view ourselves as large enough to cope yet small enough to care. Our team are full of people from various backgrounds while some are ‘home grown’ others have joined the team with years of experience. Whatever the background we all share and teach to the same vision and standard. We pride ourselves on providing a reliable sports and dance coaching service for schools, parents and communities. At First Step Sports we work hard to increase the standard and professionalism of Sports and Dance coaching, we employ enthusiastic and committed individuals training them to our standards and constantly strive to create new, exciting programs and innovative ways to keep people active. The Role: We have an exciting opportunity for a number of sports Coaches to join our growing team. We are seeking candidates who are graduate caliber, preferably with at least 6 months experience of coaching from internships or similar. Once selected, you will be placed on our in depth training programme to fully prepare you to lead our coaching courses. After training you will initially work as an assistant coach, supporting and learning from experienced coaches. The right people will progress quickly to a head coach role where they will plan and manage their own coaching sessions in schools, at arranged sports events and for private bodies. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with young people and be a great team player, while maintaining a reliable and professional image at all times. Key responsibilities Planning and creating fun and useful lessons. Delivering lessons to a variety of different groups. Traveling to various sites in the Yorkshire region Building relationships with stakeholders, including teachers, parents and students. Administration and paperwork tasks relating to classes and pupils. Requirements Level 2 coaching badge or equivalent (or working towards). Preferably 6 months experience. Reliable and professional. Good standard of English and Math. Proficient with computer systems and office programs. Full driving license and own transport.
