Such is the case with the upcoming World Series, which has led San Francisco radio stations KFOG and KOIT to pull Lordes monster hit Royals from their playlists until after World Series in complete. KFOG recently tweeted, No offense, Lorde, but for the duration of the World Series, KFOG Radio will be a Royals-free zone... After it became a hit, the New Zealand pop star revealed that the inspiration for the song was a photo in National Geographic magazine featuring Kansas City Royals Hall of Famer George Brett. Meanwhile, a parody of the song by a Summit, Missouri teen named John Long is gaining in popularity in Kansas City. Game 1 of the World Series airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. - Charlie
