Sports tid-bit of the day: Today, 8/24/13, Max Scherzer pitched for the Detriot Tigers against Matt Harvey of the New York Mets at Citi Field in New York. These two pitchers faced eachother to start the 2013 MLB All-Star Game representing the Tigers and Mets respecticvely which was held at Citi Field in New York. This is the first time that this has ever happened in MLB history where the staring pitchers for the ASG have faced eachother later in the season at the same stadium while pitching for the same teams they represented in the ASG.
