Spotboys? Hardly! They were drivers, store-runners, food setup & cleaners, camera helper-uppers, light movers, and everything in-between. They ate after the crew started eating, & cleaned up, helped put stuff away, packed, unpacked, bought water & coffee, called action & rolling & cut, and became an integral part of our team! These are 5 kids who have gained more experience and training in two weeks, than any offered in school; and that may be hard to come by after working somewhere for 2 years. And you know what else? They gained respect from seasoned film crew members, and built long-term friendships with people, quite a bit older than them. And they gained 40 plus references, that will help them in any job, application, or interview they can possibly go to; over the next decade! My message to my five wonderful, wonderful PAs (Production Assistants): You came to work with a smile & you left work with a smile. You did whatever was needed. I never saw you complain, I never saw you slacking off, & I certainly never saw you bicker amongst yourselves. You werent just spotboys and girls; you were the reason, the team could do what they needed to do. From parking my car the minute I got there, to asking me if I wanted water/food; you were also so sweet, to give me special attention. As you go off to college this week and next, I want to say THANK YOU. I also wish to give you my blessings; for a lifetime of happiness. I hope you will come back and work with me again in the future. And remember, Nipaaunty (mom to you Jay Shah), is only ONE phone call away, for anything you need, any time of the day or night! Lots of love and God Bless You. Your parents have to be proud of you, as am I, and as is, the entire Paid in Full Film team!
