Spring Everywhere water flows again in ditches, streams and on the soft slope of hills. South faces have gone bare in the warming sun. In icy ground all was numb. Now in protected sunlit spaces shoots of green test the air. Birds flock to exposed sun drenched fields where seeds lay. Will warmth soften the deep frozen corners almost brittle with cold? Can spring allow what was hidden, unmoving to come forth? Wrote this earlier in March maybe now it really will be spring......
