Spring Internship Posting The Pittsburgh Assistance Center for Educators and Students (PACES) is an incorporated, non-profit organization committed to improving Pittsburgh students’ learning environments and experiences. We provide educational programs and resources to area students, support area teachers, and help communities build meaningful relationships with their schools. Our mission is: Enrich Students. Support Teachers. Foster Community. We are seeking college interns who are organized, outgoing, and dedicated to making a difference in local education. This is an open application, but geared to students in the following fields: * Education * Non-profit/Business Management * Communications/English * Arts/Humanities * Urban Studies * Social Work * Cultural Studies In addition to our standard proposed internship duties, detailed at pittsburghaces.org/internships.html, our spring intern will also assist with two upcoming programs: Encounters, PACES’s art outreach partnership with Pitt’s Department of History of Art and Architecture, and our annual writing contest for Allegheny County high school students. The internship is unpaid. Since internships are volunteer, PACES will be flexible with internship hours and will work with interns to create an accommodating schedule.
