Midwest | - The majority of the region will be dry Thursday. - Light rain and showers push into North Dakota during the late afternoon hours as the next storm drops into the northern Plains from Alberta. - Light snow and snow showers expand across North Dakota, northern South Dakota and Minnesota Thursday night. - Friday snow continues in the northern Plains and Upper Midwest while spreading into the northern Great Lakes. - Light rain and showers occur from southern Wisconsin to the upper Ohio Valley. - Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are likely from northern North Dakota to central Michigan with 3 to 5 inches in northern Minnesota from this storm. - Temperatures will be coolest with highs in the 30s and 40s from Minnesota to south Michigan. - Milder 50s stretch from North and South Dakota southeast to the Ohio Valley and Kentucky. - Warmer 60s and low 70s occur in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and the lower Ohio Valley. South | - High pressure keeps the region dry Thursday. - High temperatures will be in the 60s from the lower Mississippi Valley through the Southeast with 70s from Oklahoma and Texas along the Gulf Coast to Florida. - Friday it stays dry with temperatures climbing another 5 degrees. - Highs will be in the middle and upper 60s in the Southeast and the 70s to lower 80s elsewhere. West | - Light snow and snow showers are likely in northwest Montana and the Washington Cascade Mountains Thursday. - New snow of 1 to 4 inches are forecast Thursday. - Light rain or rain showers occur in western Washington, northwest Oregon and northeast Montana Thursday. - It will be dry across the remainder of the region. - Highs in the 30s and 40s for north Idaho and Montana with 40s and 50s from the Northwest to Wyoming. - Milder 60s stretch from north California to the lower elevations of Colorado. - Warm 70s and lower 80s stretch from Southern California to New Mexico.
