Spur varieties have brought in a revolution for the lower elevation apple farms .These varieties are doing an excellent performance commercially . The problem in regards to the colour has been solved by these spur varieties. The result of the spur varieties in the lower and middle altitude has been very successful and encouraging . There is a huge demand for these apples. Which varieties would you recommend for 7500 ft and above??Has anyone of you seen the performance of spur varieties in higher elevation??Which new varieties are performing well in the higher elevation??Can higher elevation orchardists go in for change or should they be content with Royal and Red Delicious varieties??
