Squad number changes news There have been changes to the squad numbers worn by players ahead of the new 2014/15 season. Didier Drogba, who returned this summer for a second spell at the club, will switch from no.15 to no.11, with Oscar taking the no.8 vacated by Frank Lampard. Drogba said: ‘I am very pleased to be able to return to the number 11 shirt and I am very grateful to Oscar for allowing me to make this change.’ Oscar added: ‘Didier is a Chelsea legend and a senior player. I am happy for him to take the 11 and for me to take the 8. Lamps is another legend at this club and I hope I will be as successful in the shirt as he was.’ Thibaut Courtois, who has returned to Stamford Bridge from a loan spell at Atletico Madrid, will wear no.13, with Victor Moses switching to the no.18 shirt previously worn by Romelu Lukaku. Dutch defender Nathan Ake will now wear no.6. See below for the full squad list. All returned shirts will be donated to the Chelsea Foundation, the clubs charity organisation which uses the power of sport to bring about positive changes in peoples lives and their communities. • For those who purchased from the Stadium Megastore at Stamford Bridge or the Kingston Store simply return the 2014/15 shirts with proof of purchase in person to either of these stores for replacement, on a non-matchday. • For those who purchased from the clubs online partner stores (ChelseaMegastore for UK, Europe or Africa, ChelseaMegastoreUSA for USA, ChelseaMegastoreAsia for Asia Pacific) return the 2014/15 shirts by post with a copy of the order confirmation email to the store you made the original purchase from. A replacement like-for-like shirt will then be sent to you by post free of charge. • For those purchases from non-Chelsea Football Club outlets, the club will offer a 50 percent discount on a purchase of new 2014/15 shirts, upon return of the existing shirt. This offer is only eligible to those who can visit either the Stadium Megastore at Stamford Bridge or the Kingston store in person, on a non-matchday.
