Squirt had a big week of radiation this week, Ann and Chlo had big days Tuesday and Wednesday with radiation and I had a huge day with Squirt yesterday getting 2 treatments of radiation and surgery for insertion of her central line and nasal gastric in readiness for next week. Brain and spine radiation has been increased for a few more sessions before we start the full body radiation and chemo next Wednesday. We had a bit of a wait to see if we could go home yesterday arvo or had to stay in overnight and much to Chloes relief we got to come home and spend some time with Simone and Rob which she really loved.....family is such a comfort at this time. It was a loooong day yesterday and today was quite difficult for Chloe with a lot of pain from surgery and radiation. But yet again I could not be prouder as a dad watching how she dealt with it all. Chloe was surprised this morning by my great mate Yatala and Helen who came bearing a gift for squirt today.......a guitar, which she can take into hospital and get lessons from the music therapy nurse while recovering from treatment Hadnt seen a smile on squirt since the procedure but she sure had one when they gave Chloe that!!!! Squirt loved her relaxing day of movies while being looked after by Ann and Big Chlo today and I enjoyed an Anzac footy day with Big Al and Yatala... Thanks boys for the great day. Big Chlo, Braden and I are taking Squirt to have her dressings changed tomorrow then Ann and Chloe head in for more brain and spine radiation on Monday and Tuesday before the TBI and high dose chemo start on Wednesday and the all important bone marrow transplant next Sunday.
