Position Description Position Description The Senior Contract Developer will work with the Global Tactical Asset Allocation team designing, developing and supporting software to assist with investment operations and research. Potential development projects include building interactive web applications, designing data models and managing data for the support of drill down analytics and to provide workflows related to portfolio management such as trade submission, data analysis and data cleansing. Projects are delivered according to Agile development practices. Application Development and Support Design, develop and support new and existing applications using a variety of technologies (Java EE or Spring, Python, MSSQL) Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure deliverables are clear and the right technology is being used for the right reasons Estimate work effort, identify risks and provide feedback on the feasibility of team to deliver by target dates Promote development, tools and Agile best practices through active team participation, knowledge sharing sessions and maintainance of documentation on team wiki Ensure sufficient test coverage to guard against breaking existing functionality Position Requirements Position Requirements An undergraduate degree – preferably in Computer Science or Engineering Above average communication, critical thinking and relationship management skills, with an ability to naturally influence others and sell ideas effectively Proficiency with a variety of development languages with well tuned skills in at least two of Java EE or Spring, Python, JSF, Javascript with HTML5 Commitment to CPPIB guiding principles of integrity, partnership and high performance Visit our Linkedin Career Page or Follow us on LinkedIn.
