Srinagar youth dies in road accident at Pattan Pattan: The collision of two private vehicles left a 25-year-old youth dead in North Kashmir’s Pattan town of Baramulla district Thursday morning. Police sources said that Waseem Ali Pampori resident of Safakadal Srinagar died on spot when a Tata passenger vehicle (JK05A-6582) hit a Tavera (JK05C-9790) in which he was travelling. Waseem was rushed to sub district hospital Pattan where doctors declared him brought dead. The driver of Tavera Muhammad Aslam also suffered injuries during the accident. A police official said that the Tata vehicle driver fled from the spot after the accident and police has launched a hunt to nab him. “We have registered a case vide FIR number 195/2014 under section 304A, 279, 427 of RPC in this regard,” he said.
