St. Croix River Crossing Traffic Pattern Changes If you commute - TopicsExpress

St. Croix River Crossing Traffic Pattern Changes If you commute or travel to or through the Stillwater area, there will be a number of changes to traffic patterns in Minnesota as construction for the new St. Croix River Crossing bridge proceeds. Construction, excavation, and utility crews are all likely to be working simultaneously, resulting in lane closures and traffic slowdowns for the remainder of the construction season. The changes currently being implemented include traffic on eastbound Hwy 36 crossing over and using a single lane on the westbound Hwy 36 lanes, creating head-to-head traffic. This crossover to the westbound lanes will occur west of Osgood Avenue. Additionally, Hwy 36 ramps to and from Beach Road will remain open for the time being but are expected to close at the end of July or early August. Also, temporary traffic signals will be placed at the junction of Hwy 36 and Hwy 95, affecting traffic going southbound on Hwy 95 and eastbound on Hwy 36 to northbound Hwy 95. Hwy 95 traffic will use a single lane in each direction from Point Road to Lookout Trail through the end of the 2013 construction season. I urge you to use caution when driving through these areas.
