St Pete Peeps: I need your advice. My oldest son is in kindergarten at Shore Acres. We did the lottery and originally got in no where, so we moved from Old NE to Shore Acres to make sure our boys would have a good elementary school. BayVista called me today to let me know they have a spot for Liam in a great class (with one of his best friends). I am #9 on Perkins and 38 at Jamerson. We put BayVista #3 in the lottery. We were number 178 and now we can take a spot. Heres the thing - I hear so many wonderful things about BayVista, but I was not incredibly impressed on my tour. It was a perfectly fine school - just vanilla. I feel Perkins and Jamerson may be better fits for Liam. I am very happy at Shore Acres. It is only 5 minutes from our house. Liam really likes his teacher and has some great new buddies. The reason I am interested in BayVista is to lock in a spot for him in a fundamental school for middle school. The odd thing is, I was just talking to a girlfriend this morning telling her that if BayVista calls, I will pass on it and hope for Perkins. But, now that they called, I am a little less confident in turning them down. Liam has a younger brother that will be in kindergarten next year, so I do have another chance at the lottery. Help, please. I must say, I do love our current schedule with Shore Acres. I get 1-on-1 time with each boy. Thanks for your help. I think I need a large glass of wine right about now. Either way, I am going to chat with his potential teacher tomorrow. :(
