StableTips Gold Coast Race 3, No 1 (Champaign Cath $3.60) I believe this horse will significantly shorten before race time so hold off to get the best value. Listed as top weight for this event on the back of adequate performances in group level races in Sydney over the past 12 months. However, there are a number of factors against her in this race - a) never won 2nd up, b) never won at this distance, c) top weight conceding 5kg to most of the field, and d) poor record on rain affected tracks. For such a large field, I believe there is plenty of value in this race if you look at the locally trained horses.
