Stalling tactics are frequently used by liars who need a fraction longer to create their lie. One classic way to increase thought time is to repeat the question. Q. “Craig, did you take the money from the safe”? A. “Did I take the money from the safe? I would never do such a thing”. This is a stall tactic giving the subject time to think about their answer. Ask yourself why they are stalling for time on an easy question. CJB
