Stance USA have released a new item which they call their A.C.S System (Air Cup Suspension). In short, its a 2-Cup kit (fronts) that slots on to existing Stance coilovers (or can be bought new, with any Stance kit) that lifts the front of the car up to 2 Inches. The cups sit between the final top plate and spring perch offering standard ride height and feel. At the flick of a button, it lifts the car 2inches - enough clearance on your race-car-for-the-road to attack a curb or lip. Whilst cool in look and design / execution, its a hefty price to pay for an automatic 2inch lift - from $2700 delivered. Perhaps the laws which ensure adequate chassis/ride-height will supplant this kind of kit anyhow. Or, perhaps the price will knock it out of consideration regardless. Given that it adds mass to (lets assume cars lowered this low are of the racing kind as cars that low are often not permitted on the street as per Kiwi laws!) a lightened chassis it might be redundant anyway - thoughts? Imagine having height and on-the-fly damper-adjustable electronically controlled coil-overs. Its almost like having a Williams F1 car (well, no where near really..) Legally certifiable? Unknown!
