I could only assume I had lost power to the shields. Attempted to reroute power from communication devices and GPS, but to no avail. Where the hell is Scotty when you need him. No answer from engineering. Can only hope for me and the crew that the deadly Ebola didnt make it aboard. At any rate, med bay is standing by. Tomorrow we head to the northeastern quadrant of the Louisiana sector. Ive heard stories of strange beings in these parts. Will set phasers to stun and continue to attempt contact with engineering to thwart power back to the shields.
