Caroline Donohoe was speaking after she was presented with the Rehab People of the Year award by GAA legend Micheal O Muircheartaigh (83) at a glittering ceremony on Saturday night. Adrian Donohoe SHOT DEAD: Hero Garda Adrian Donohoe It’s the first time Mrs Donohoe, a serving garda, has spoken since her husband Adrian (41) was shot dead during an armed robbery in Lordship, Co Louth on January 25. Prior to accepting the award in the dad of two’s honour, Caroline said he was the best husband in the world. “Adrian was the best father any child could have,” she said at the ceremony, which was broadcast live on RTE One. Murder “There was nobody like Adrian and Adrian was the love of my life and I will miss him every minute of every day as long as I live.” Gardai are continuing their probe into the officer’s brutal murder and have identified the five suspects they believe were involved in the attack. The man they believe pulled the trigger fled to Boston, USA, and cops are closing in on the gang, say sources.
