Staring Out of My Window Happy to be gifted with yet another - TopicsExpress

Staring Out of My Window Happy to be gifted with yet another southern morning, Sitting at my window, another chance to reflect on lifes journey, Creation is so beautiful without even trying, For now the cold rain has stopped, The angels have ceased their crying, To be sure, I see splotches of blue in the crisp sky, Perhaps my guardians are even smiling. I look to a small tree of persimmon, Did a raccoon search for dinner at its base last night, Whilst I was still a dreaming? A smile crosses the lips of this old fella, As I watch my best girl, A white American pit bull, Bella Bella. She investigates every movement, Sniffing at this and at that And playfully gives chase to her counter part, My crazy unnamed solid white cat. In the distance at the end of my drive, Nature shows her beauty, Under the penn oak tree, a doe and her spotted fawn eat acorns, Having made it through another night, Still healthy, still alive. I watch this scene unfold through puffs of smoke, I decide to have another cup of coffee, And like Charlie Daniels, This long haired country boy will have another toke, I watch the last of the angels tears From my roof they flow, I decide there is not much to compare with, Sitting, drinking, smoking, Here in my chair, Staring out of my window deVillieaux
