Started the day with a cooking class (with Chef Pilar Carrera of La Olla): la Merced market, then learned to cook (among other dishes) pork pibil cochinita (slow cooked with achiote), tortillas, and sopa de limon. The afternoon included a visit to the Oaxaca Cultural museum filled with interesting artifacts. Including a rat-god and the inspiration for Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon. With, of course, the lovely Catherine Woodman!
