Many of our dogs have come from death row through no fault of their own, just by the owners being unable or not bothered to rehome their dogs themselves and so surrender them to Pounds or worse, abandon them on the streets. That’s when Starting Over Dog Rescue steps in. We foster-care, vet, feed and help these dogs find their fur-ever home. Our dogs are tested in a foster home for at least 2 weeks before being placed ready for adoption in the community. This means we can give you a true indication of how the dog integrates in to their foster home. Rescue dogs need time, security and routine. To become a great adoption parent, you need to put plans in place to make it work for you and the dog too, and this can take some time and thought and ultimately a commitment to care so please assess your environment, finances and other pets thoroughly before committing to adopting one of our precious dogs. If you CAN provide what’s needed to integrate a loving dog in to your home, then we have a variety of beautiful dogs in all shapes, sizes and ages for you to choose from and all current available dogs are listed in our mobile app. By adopting a rescue dog, you are NOT supporting the puppy farm trade who breed to sell to pet shops.
