State Sen. Wendy Davis says if she is elected governor, she will consider using executive action to expand the states Medicaid under the federal Affordable Care Act despite almost certain opposition from the Republican-dominated Legislature. Appearing at the Texas Tribune Festival, a political symposium that concluded Sunday, Davis said during a one-on-one with Tribune CEO and Editor in Chief Evan Smith that theres some indication that an executive action can achieve this.
