State of the Project Hi folks, Sorry it’s been radio Semi-silence for so long but life is crazy and independently producing a documentary in the middle of life is also crazy. Where we’re at: • All the planned performances (and then some) for the the 2013 season have been shot, and are in the can, so to speak. • We have begun doing the solo interviews, not even 24 hours ago we managed to get an interview recorded with Greg Tippet the founder of the ensemble for the project. The current Set backs: • The venues that were quoting certain prices on their websites for the spaces to be used for interviews did not work out, the websites were either out of date on the pricing, or the contact info was no longer valid. • Equipment failure… A key piece of our storage media which was housing the majority of our footage started to die on us. previously raised funds went to replacing this equipment and making back ups of as much as we could to other media formats. • Editing: the amount of footage we have thus far, While still not having everything we need is a lengthy process. Finding the best shots, with the best audio combo takes time. Color correcting/Balancing will take time. What this means: We will be delaying the finished product delivery by a few months. Fingers Crossed no later than middle of 2014. This choice is made in the interest of giving the contributors bang for their bucks. The three legged stool applies here, we could do it Fast and Cheap, but not very Well. We could do it Fast and Well, but not very cheap, or we can do it Cheap and Well, but not very Fast. Since we can’t afford to do it fast and well; we’re doing it cheap and well. We hope you understand. If you have any questions feel free to message the team through here.
