Statement from protestors in all squares across Egypt against bloody coup Barbarian actions of coupists continue While hundreds of thousands of peaceful demonstrators, who support legitimacy and oppose the military coup against president Morsi, were praying at Ramses Square, they were stunned by security forces that fired tear gas and pepper bullets at peaceful demonstrators, injuring dozens of worshipers. The right to demonstrate is guaranteed by the constitution, which was suspended by coupists, a right guaranteed by international conventions and treaties, and a right that Egyptians managed to obtain through the 25 January Revolution. The repeated attacks against peaceful demonstrators happened at Rabaa Adaweya Square, in front of the Republican Guard Club and at Ramses Squar which indicates that the coupists plan to shed more blood of anti-coup Egyptians. These repeated attacks show that the coupists are weak and are helpless in the face of the masses of people gathering one day after the other indifferent to those attacks whose committers will be held accountable. We, as protesters in the squares across Egypt, condemn perpetrators of these attacks and condemn pro-coup media outlets that ignore them. We hold the coupists fully responsible for the lives of protesters, and for every drop of blood spilled from any protester.
