Status of Colorado PUPPYCIDE Victim PISTOL of Colorado Springs, CO - https://facebook/Justice4Pistol Pistol survived his August 31, 2014 shooting and is recovering thanks to the help of generous donors who contributed to help with his medical needs. The Colorado law firm, The Animal Law Center LLC (link below), a very strong proponent of training for law enforcement in non-lethal methods of handling dog encounters has taken Pistols case. PLEASE see below for how to help raise funds needed for Pistols legal defense against being labeled a DANGEROUS ANIMAL. Patrick Lawrence, Pistols dad required medical attention and a neighbor called for an ambulance. Instead of an ambulance, a police car showed up and while the officers were walking to the man they encountered his pit bull. Not only did police shoot his dog while Lawrence required medical attention, they arrested him for possessing a dangerous animal. Lawrence says, “If the dog was aggressively trying to get at him [police officer], why’s the dog shot in the butt?” Lawrence says the dog can be territorial but not aggressive. See link at bottom of this post to a video regarding Louisiana first responder training in dog encounters and dog protecting their property. ******************************** In order to help raise the funds needed for Pistol’s legal defense, these are fundraisers going on: One are t-shirt fundraisers running: 1st design: pitbull.logosoftwear/ 2nd design: skreened/pitbull/beware-dangerous-police-on-the-loose Second, is a Go Fund Me fundraiser at: gofundme/Justice4Pistol .
