Status update on the Stagecoach Fire near Gilchrist and current conditions applicable to the Crescent Lake area: FIRE NEWS--Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch Center For Immediate Release: July 26, 2013 6:00 p.m. Contact: Media Desk, 541/416-6811 Website: fs.fed.us/r6/centraloregon/fire Email: coidcincidentinformation@gmail Stagecoach Fire Contained Central Oregon –Firefighters have now contained the Stagecoach Fire burning about 8 miles northeast of Gilchrist, Oregon. The fire acreage is 330 acres and the Type 3 Incident Management Team will be returning control of the fire to a Type IV Incident Commander. Local firefighters will continue to mop up and patrol the incident until it is declared out. Michael Road is now open. A Red Flag Warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. Saturday for high temperatures and low relative humidity. A lightning storm is beginning to move through Central Oregon this evening and firefighters are positioned around the area to respond to any new starts.
