Stay tuned for more information from Associated Students - UCSB regarding Deltopia. Alexander Moore has been working hard on his own birthday to clarify these issues for us. It is an absolute shame that one of the driving factors behind Deltopia being as heavily regulated is the attempted public commercialization of the event in 2013 and more aggressive efforts in 2014. As stated below, Alex is working to ensure that only those large public/rando intended events (I cant really call them parties) are shut down while private gatherings are not. I, for one, am incredibly disappointed in the way IV Foot Patrol decided to release this information to the residents of Isla Vista, California. This is completely unacceptable and in my opinion demeans our status as tax payers of this county. Trust me, they wouldve done a lot more than a Facebook post at 2am for any other community in SB County.
