Steelers Sunday 9/8/2013 Tailgate Party to raise donations for Furkids Rescue We will have games, drinks, food (catered, grilled, vegetarian etc.), raffles for game tickets and etc. Come down and meet some of the cute furkids that deserves a happy home! :) Volunteers/Steelers fans/Pirates fans/animal lovers/and eve Titan fans are all welcome to come and enjoy the activities. When: Game starts at 1pm. The RV and volunteers will be there from 8am. Come on down and help out an extremely good cause!!! FurKid seeks to help animals go from life-threatening situations to homes where they will be given the love and care they deserve. Mission Fur Kid Rescue seeks to help animals go from life-threatening situations to homes where they will be given the love and care they deserve. Upon rescue, we commit to the full care and training of an animal until we are able to place the animal in an exceptional home. We hope that through training and responsible ownership we are able educate people about pit bulls, as well as rescue dogs as a whole. We are passionate about spaying and neutering and promote the procedure at every opportunity not only as a preventative health measure, but also to eliminate the overpopulation problem. Company Overview We officially started our organized rescue efforts in the spring of 2008, but have been rescuing and working with other rescue groups and local shelters for over 5 years. We take in mainly Pit Bull puppies who have been rescued from gas kill pounds, animal control facilities, backyard breeders, or people who are no longer able to keep their pets. We rarely take in owner’s surrenders unless we find that the owner has a valid reason for abandoning the pet. Fur Kid Rescue will also save other breeds when there is room in one of our breed-experienced foster homes. You may see mastiffs, chihuahuas, or a fabulous mutt who needs a wonderful home!
